The Piorkowski Law Firm focuses primarily on litigation that involves the need to communicate complex scientific concepts in simple, comprehensible terms.  In addition to individual cases involving a wide range of medical or scientific issues, Mr. Piorkowski has been part of the National Coordinating Counsel teams for some of the most successfully defended pharmaceutical mass torts in the past two decades.  Mr. Piorkowski served as the leader of the National Expert Team for the Norplant, Baycol, and YAZ/Yasmin litigations. In this role, he organized and coordinated a team of attorneys from different firms around the country who were responsible for developing the scientific theory of the defense; identifying, retaining and preparing defense experts in all federal and state court cases; and investigating, deposing, and developing strategies for effectively cross-examining plaintiffs’ experts.  Mr. Piorkowski has served as lead counsel for several important pre-trial Daubert hearings and he has been a member of the trial teams for several seminal trials.
